Hi all,
Welcome to my new Blog about all
things TRAP.
There is always lots going on and
I hope this will be a way to keep up with us .... in real time.
Thanks to our web-master Ralph
Oleski for all his hard work. Ralph has been with us for about ten years,
volunteering his time, energy and expertise and never asking anything in
return.
In reference to his work I'd like
to report a lot of new changes to the site:
- New home page
narrative
- New TRAP Educational
video's
- New TRAP benefit music
series
- New picture tribute to the
musicians without whom we wouldn't have a program
Coming very soon:
- A complete translation into
Spanish for our friends in Latin America and elsewhere.
- New criteria for TRAP
certification
- TRAP Training schedules/
times and prices
- New items in our store
- Volunteer profiles and
gratitude for all they do as part of our family.
*As a very small but mighty
organization it takes many hands to succeed in all there is to do. Though an
admitted workaholic, I can't possibly do everything so, a great deal of thanks
is always in order to those folks helping me who are making the world a little
better for the folks we serve.
NEWS:
Our Seminar at UCP/WORK Inc. In
Santa Maria was a wonderful success and we'd like to welcome two new
facilitators to our family, Thu and Shannon! Always good to see and work with
Elizabeth and Richard, not to mention our extraordinary students.
Our new book "Hey! Take a
look at my Life" is now available on the TRAP website:
http://www.traponline.org Hey! "Take a look at my
Life" was 17 years in the making.
It is a testament to The Rhythmic Arts Project, its origin and
continued work in the world. The truly heartwarming stories have come from
parents, siblings, teachers and friends spanning the globe making life a
little better and more inclusive for our students with Intellectual and
Developmental Disabilities as well as their typical peers.
